"الفيل الأبيض" (White Elephant) هو مصطلح يُستخدم لوصف شيء باهظ الثمن أو مكلف في صيانته، ولكنه عديم الفائدة أو لا يمثل قيمة حقيقية لصاحبه. يُشير إلى ممتلكات أو استثمارات تسبب مشاكل أكثر من قيمتها الفعلية.
