Ladd Public Library announces a new therapy dog reading program, “Paws to Read with Hobo,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6 in the library, 125 N. Main St., Ladd.

The Seneca Irish felt like they couldn’t get out of town fast enough Thursday at Princeton. The Irish took an 8-0 lead only to have the Tigers score two runs in the sixth and four in the seventh with Seneca holding on for an 8-6 nonconference win

The Play of the Day for Tuesday, May 14’s Wyaton Hills Ladies Day Golf was “Subtract Putts.” Janice Campbell placed first with a score of 28.

Fourteen Bureau County area girls punched their ticket to state from the 1A Erie Sectional Track & Field Meet on Wednesday, including athletes from the Amboy co-op, Bureau Valley and St. Bede.

The purpose of this group is to provide men and women 55 and older with programs that are informational and or entertaining. The club hopes to offer an opportunity to socialize with old friends and to make some new ones.
