Three Bureau County athletes have committed or signed to take their next step athletically. Hall's Braden Curran will play baseball at Augustana College while St. Bede's Savannah Bray will play basketball at IVCC and Maddy Fabish will bowl at Columbia College of Missouri

A look at the Mendota, Princeton, Bureau Valley, Earlville, Henry-Senachwine and Fieldcrest softball teams for the 2026 season.

The musical will be performed a total of four times, with a senior citizen dinner and show on Tuesday, March 10 starting at 5 p.m., and three weekend shows starting on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and a Sunday matinee starting at 1 p.m.

When running mate Camryn Driscoll went down with a season-ending knee injury in early January, Davis took it upon herself to step up her game. In her next 13 games, Davis averaged 21.5 ppg and incredibly doubled her 3-point shooting to 34.6%.

The Putnam County softball team has a small, young roster but the Panthers "have the potential to do some really good things" with most of their starting lineup back.

The 2026 Streator High softball team doesn't have any seniors, but they do show a lot of encouraging signs for both the now and the future of the program as the spring season gets underway.

Students from St. Bede Academy earned top honors at a Feb. 27 regional academic competition hosted by Illinois Valley Community College. They finished first overall against several area schools.
