THREE times in 2 appearances, Jesus says, "Peace be with you." What is he saying, and what does he mean when he says "peace"?

This is one of the few accounts from Jesus’ life that’s recorded in all 4 Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And John leaves out some details, but he zeros in on exactly what he wants you to hear.

Jesus' friend died, and Jesus was broken up about it. He was ripped apart by it! How did he deal with it all--the death, the people, everything? How should we deal with it all? God shows us in John 11.

If everybody knew everything about everyone, would anyone have any friends? Frankly, who knows. But we never even have to worry about that with Jesus—he knows us all fully and still says he is our Good Shepherd.
