Were you taught to play small growing up? Taught that keeping your head down and not making noise was the right thing to do? My guest today, Connie Warden, knew she had to work to overcome her desire to shrink into the background and learn to play big if she wanted to make an impact. Her yoga platform around "mindful kindful" demanded that she step up...and she did. Today, Connie shares with us how she had to learn to play big, stay curious, and differentiate herself in an authentic way in the wellness space which is cluttered with me-too people, programs, and noise. She also gives us some insights into how being doubtful and confident at the same time, is not only natural, it's a good thing.

In this episode, Gina shares with us how her curious mindset helped her leap into an entirely new business. She also opens up about the fear of making a big decision and what she did to minimize her risk and increase her confidence. She also gives us some insights into where to apply innovation to create a stellar customer experience (hint- it's everywhere). She now successfully runs two collaboration workspaces with a third on the way.

We spend so much time with our heads in the weeds or exhausting ourselves trying to create that new-to-the-world idea. But, as today's guest shows us, the best ideas come from keeping your eyes open for what already exists. Jake Dunlap is the CEO of Skaled Consulting and past VP of Sales at Glassdoor. He shares how he built his career on finding best practices and innovation around him, and bringing them into his work. He also talks about how old processes and identities keep us from finding success in the future and why the future is about research and critical, not information. And, he gives some phenomenal advice about staying present and open to innovation beyond your day-to-day

Most of us have life-changing experiences that either feels like they are going to break us or become the fire for our success. The question is what you do with those moments in your life. My guest today had a life-altering experience that became the foundation for living her best life. Everyday Innovator Supriya Surender is an alopecia advocate, online influencer, and all-around amazing human. She talks about her desire to make an impact started with connecting with one person in a meaningful way, how she thinks differently about the content she puts out into the world and why overthinking leads to being left behind. She also shares how she went from feeling out of control to fully in control but finding small chunks to control that added up over time.

Navigating change can be really challenging. Often it's the tension created when working with others that stops us from moving forward. In an effort to avoid conflict, it seems easier to just give in or meet in the middle. But, as Everyday Innovator Chris Chopyak explains, that tension can actually be an advantage if you lean into it. Chris also talks about predictability, not as an opposite to change, but as a tool to help people embrace change. Chris also shares wisdom around what you can (and can't)control versus what you can influence, and how she manages her energy so she continues to innovate and do good work. Chris is the founder of Arlosoul, a visual strategy and innovation firm and Elite IQE Certified Coach. She has spent years moving her business and her clients forward through change and uncertainty.

How do you take a step towards making your dreams a reality when you don't know what to do or have all the skills to do it? How do you train yourself mentally to do the hard work and push forward? That's exactly what I cover with today's guest, Tyler Millstein. Tyler owns Crossfit Hierarchy, two gyms in the Washington D.C. area. He shares the importance of knowing what you are good at and getting help everywhere else, and how dreams don't mean much without action, specifically micro-steps. He also shares how he callused his mind for success, and how he's differentiated his gym in a crowded me-too marketplace.
