Welcome back to another episode of the I'm Going podcast friends.
It's that time of the year again. We start preparing our shopping lists, plan our grand meals, make the seating arrangements for each family member, buy the gift wrapping paper, the name tags, the presents, and off we go on the holiday express ride.
Year after year this is the ritual for most people. However, some of us, either escape this ride because we're away or because we have set our traditions for the holidays that make us detach from the standard and have to deal with that crazy aunt that no one can stand but still we force ourselves to. I have been the person that has both been blessed and cursed at the same time in the last years during the holidays.
The thing that being away from home during the holidays does is that it creates this sense of longing to be home with the family even if we are in good company and all our coworkers are in the same headspace, but then when you do get to be home, it's not what you expect it to be.
In this episode, I'll give you five simple tips on how to manage stress and anxiety during the holidays so that you can enjoy it more and with peace of mind.
No matter if you're driving home or flying home for Christmas my hope for you is to have it be as important as you wish for it to be surrounded by the people that mean the most to you.

On this episode of the, I’m Going podcast for the conversation starter, I have to admit… being home has given me the chance not only to relax and focus on other things but has given me the chance to look around and appreciate where I live.
Earlier this week in my mom's house I came across this daily calendar she's had no joke since before I was born and she bought it in a small shop in New Jersey in 1991. Since I was little I remember every day seeing my mom flip through that tiny calendar and reading on the top of the page the prayer and underneath the daily quote. For years I couldn’t understand why she did that so religiously and I remember being 16/17 and even telling her to throw it away because it’s old and some pages have coffee stains on them. Thank God she didn’t pay any mind to the unaware teenage me and still to this day she has it and flips the page. During the pandemic I found myself looking at that calendar and reading it just like my mom, but I did it specifically on days that were hard. I’m a true believer that the universe gives us signs and hints that either will guide us when we feel low or that show us that we’re on the right path.
This also made me think about how lucky I am to live where I live. In today's episode I'll give you a non-touristy look into towns and cities in Portugal you need to visit in 2022 and to add to it I made a blog post along with it so you can see in photos what I'm describing.

Today’s episode I’ve been lingering in releasing it or not because it’s been a process honestly for me and I thought I had done my healing about this topic but I didn’t until last week when I got the green light to become a senior cabin crew at my company.
Trust is a topic that we feel very uneasy talking about and communicating what it means to each of us and it's about time we get comfortable with it to have more effective communication and connection with each other.
I started reading a lot of books on personal growth and leadership in the last year and one book has been the pillar for my performance boost. The book I just finished re-reading is from a very well-known and acclaimed researcher Dr. Brené Brown. She’s known for over the last two decades studying and researching about courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and has 5, yes 5 #1 New York Times bestselling books on these topics. I’ve read three of them and I already have an amazon order coming with the next two. Brené Brown has for years worked with C-suite companies, so her work goes beyond researching topics and takes them into the real world and day-to-day work environments. So, I find her research besides interesting, I find it tangible.
Today we will dissect Brené Brown's work in Braving the Wilderness, the anatomy of trust as she names it and we will start a conversation around trust that hopefully, we take into our daily lives.

Today's episode was recorded after one of our new followers Michael sent me a DM asking what it was like being a flight attendant, so why not make an episode about it?
Whether you are in aviation, if you're a flight attendant or what to become one, this episode is for you!
Aviation changed very much in the past few years and covid made us all reevaluate ourselves and our jobs, so I give you some insight on what it was for me. A quick shout out to some aviation colleagues like Carrie Ann, Fly Stella, and Kacey Cassady for being great role models on what our job is and how we make the best out of it, and for their creativity and ability to make this a side hustle besides their main job!

The past week I was doing my annual training for cabin crew, and our training is divided into 3 parts: ESET which covers SOP, emergency equipment, and safety management; First Aid which is necessary as we are the ones that need to act in case of someone feeling ill during the flight and lastly CRM. CRM is my personal favorite. So what exactly is CRM?
We will cover this topic alongside the differences between persistence and resistance and how you can implement them in your life.
This episode is all about self-improvement and self-awareness and how key it is for our daily life and our work life.
