Quarter life crisis
A quarter-life crisis is a period of self-reflection and questioning that can occur in a person's mid-20s to early 30s. It's a common experience that can feel like a cross between an identity and existential crisis. People may experience feelings of uncertainty, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, and disillusionment. They may also feel lost or stuck in a rut with their job, or uninspired by things that usually bring them joy.
Here are some strategies that may help with a quarter-life crisis:
* Journaling Writing about your feelings, thoughts, and goals can help you identify patterns and what's most important to you.
* Alone time Solitude can help you reflect on what matters most to you, without social pressure.
* Visualization Imagine yourself following different paths and consider how each option makes you feel.
* Getting feedback Friends, family, mentors, and other trusted people can provide feedback and insight.
* Talking to people You can talk to friends and family about what you're going through, or you can try speaking to people who have a lifestyle or job that you might want to pursue. For example, you could talk to a university career counselor or someone you know who has a job or career you're interested in.
