Once upon a time, there was an old man who lived in the mountains with his grandson and granddaughter. They lived a peaceful, isolated, and quiet life. Being very self-sufficient they grew and hunted for their own food. The grandson was a strong young man with excellent carpentry skills, so any repairs or construction was done by him. The granddaughter, who was much younger than the grandson, would just run around the yard and nearby forest and play with some dolls she made herself. Then one afternoon she strayed a little too far into the woods and came upon something that froze her in her tracks!
