Creators- weather they be writers, directors or artists develop strong fandoms and followings. Some deserve and some don't. In this episode we bounce around a few names of folks that have a lot of fans, but in our minds they aint that great.
So in the comics, Superman is revealing his Secret Identity... It's a big deal...or is it? Are Secret Identities more trouble than they're worth? Should we even care? Who has a secret Identity that even matters anymore?
Robb, thinks Springing Saturday Night Live on Monty is a good idea. Monty has no preparation, just 44 years of die hard fandom. There is a lot of talk about thing that make the show great and the newer shows harder than the older ones.
SPOILER WARNING- If you have not seen it, don't listen. Okay, we got that out of the way. We talk about our thoughts about the ending of the Skywalker saga. We look at the good and the bad, talk about both.
In this episode Robb and Monty talk about TV adaptations of geeky source materials- oh and we know we missed some! No top fives this time, we pick our number 1s and one of us agrees that the other is right (and therefore smarter and more talented.) But we talk Defenders and Doom Partol, Mandalorian and Agents of SHIELD! But what is the best?
Star War had the bye, so we start this episode with Star Wars vs He-Man... then the winner of that one will flex his muscles and be the Master of and Extended Universe and take on the winner of GI JOE vs TRANSFORMERS! This one is more than meets the eye but knowing is half the battle!
It's vehicles that change into robots vs vehicles that turn into weapons and other vehicles... Our 80's toys take a multi-form turn As we Talk Matt Trakker and Optimus Prime, Megatron and Miles Mayhem. Look you probably already know who wins this one, but we are going to talk about MASK for 30 minutes anyway.
We are battling the toys of our youth and this time it's the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs GI Joe! We talk vehicles, articulation and... April O'Neil's butt? Can Monty snap his losing streak? Will we alk Serpentor? Was Shredder cool?
Big beefy slabs of man meat or furries... that's what we're debating today. The 80s were a hey day of Action-figure and we're talking about which toy-line was better- He-Man and the Masters of the Universe or the Thundercats. Monty didn't really play with either, leas none he owned, so Robb might have a chance. Also Monty nearly chokes to death and eats a pizza this is a BIG episode!
Stars. They are either for warring or for trekking. This time Robb and Monty pick sides in one of the oldest debates in geekdom, which is better Star Wars or Star Trek?
