Great Children's book
My grandson borrowed this book from the library. He loved it. I couldn't resist looking into it here on Amazon. I purchased that book and 4 others, so far. I have 3 more to get for him. I love the look on his face every time gramma hands him a new book.

My nieces and nephews fell in love with Roscoe, a Zombie who eats brains (Okay they are braver than me as I refuse to watch Zombie movies or read Zombie books; I'm Dead and Hungry is just about my speed.) They loved the story and "helped me read" The illustrations were perfect. The best thing in my personal opinion is the fact they reemphasize throughout the book that Zombies are imaginary only. The time spent with my family was perfect. I had to buy a copy and have it sent to their house as a surprise when they arrived home the following week. It soon became one of their favorites. The enjoyment by the kids and the wonderful story and illustrations no option by to rate it a 5 out of 5 stars. I could find no fault with I'm Undead and Hungry. It maybe the only zombie book I ever read but enjoyed sharing it with my younger readers. No to mention the class I subbed for enjoyed it during quiet time.
Fun little book that amused and educated about lore a bit.
It was obvious that my 7-year-old loved this book. She giggled frequently while reading it out loud and excitedly repeated bits and pieces of it to me. I read it, and didnât quite see the appeal, but I appreciated that it emphasized the fact that zombies are not real even while it gave the reader tidbits of lore from around the world. I have to admit that the Chinese zombie thing was pretty interesting. The illustrations were cute and simple, which is exactly what a topic like this needed.
This would be a good beginner book for a young child who is interested in monsters and the like to cut their reading teeth on, though I think that I Want to Eat Your Books by Karen LeFranc (cute illustrations, rhyming words) is probably the better of the two to start with. Then maybe step up to this one. Regardless of my feelings, it made my child laugh and it was something besides Junie B. Jones that she wanted to read independently, so Iâm all for it.

Borrowed this book from our local library for my 4 yr old son. Debating on purchasing and the rest of the series. Its a really cute book that explains they are not real while playing along with fiction and facts.
