I’m your dog and you’re my cat

Listen Later

I’m your dog and you’re my cat

Ripped off my collar years ago, not one for grooming for a

show

I follow my instincts and try to rely on the things I know

Every time I see you I’m on edge, saw you dart in and out of

the hedge

Strain my neck to watch you dancing carefree across the upstairs

ledge

Couldn’t look away and I know you felt the same, you made a

spark that became a flame

Dogs should bark and chase cats, so they say and we both

know how to play the game

Only when I look at you I forget all that, I don’t want to

bark and chase, I’d rather chill and chat

Just because people say something must be so, I say forget it,

baby I’m your dog and you’re my cat

We don’t have to play fetch, or try to kill a bird, you can

tell me all about the coolest stuff you ever heard

Despite everyone saying that it will never happen we can

live together wouldn’t it be absurd

After being left with a flat, broken cars and cell phones

and being held together with a hemostat

Kept on strutting together as if nothing had ever even

happened cause I’m your dog and you’re my cat

Woof, meow, we gotta go. Chow
