Nancy’s story is one of resilience, courage, and purpose.

Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nancy experienced the realities of war before eventually finding refuge in Kenya. Her own journey as a refugee shaped her understanding of what it means to start again, rebuild your life, and find hope in a new place. Today, Nancy has turned that experience into a purpose: helping other girls find their own second chance.

Working closely with the Imani Program, Nancy visits refugee camps and communities to identify girls who could benefit from the program. But her role goes far beyond connecting girls to an opportunity. She helps guide and support them as they navigate education, skills development, confidence, and life beyond the camp.

For years, Milka lived behind closed doors.
