When a weather report messes up our plans, we ignore it to our harm. Jesus has a similar sobering parable today, as he retells the story of Israel through the parable of the vineyard owner and the evil tenants. In Mark 12, Fr. Aaron shows how a perfectly just God reacts to the abuse of his messengers not with immediate righteous punishment but with grace seeking the fruit of repentance.
