As a believer in Jesus, you can know where you’ve come from, know where you’re going, and know why you are here. Having said that, the fact is that our daily journey through life is not always one of clarity. Our plans are vulnerable; our life events are unpredictable; our sight gets blurry by pain, sickness and weariness. The road ahead can be confusing. Yet, there is good news – it’s all a part of God’s plan. He wants us to grow in the beauty of Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

We encourage you to listen in to Pastor Vince’s message today as he uses the foundational truth of Proverbs 3 to continue his teaching in Matthew 17. While we can’t see clearly now, Jesus can, and we can choose to trust in Him.

When one is suffering from Alzheimers, there is a point when they no longer recognize loved ones. We ask them, “Do you see me? Can you remember who I am?” Yet, they do not. Pastor Vince references this in his message in Matthew 16 when Jesus gets into the faces of His disciples and asks them if they see Him for Who He really is.

“Jesus didn’t come to provide a little inspiration or encouragement to us – but He came to show us Who He really is.”

The question to ask yourself is: Do you really see Him? Do you really know Who He is?

The ‘power of the people’ can have an impact on whether something rises or falls. Whether it be the success of a restaurant or Santa’s sleigh in the Elf movie. Yet, the power of the people has no impact on whether the true impact of the Christmas story will rise or fall. It doesn’t matter whether 1 person or 7 billion people believe in the Christmas story – the truth and impact of it remains the same. Your response to the Christmas story will not impact the power and truth of the Christmas story. Yet, we pray that you will sense in a fresh, powerful way today or, for the first time, that your response to the Christmas story absolutely determines on whether you will rise or fall.
