2 Timothy 4:1-5

Healthy Bible Teaching: 1) leads us to a God-centered life, and not a me-centered life, 2) promotes the love of God and the love of neighbor, 3) leads us to a Spirit-filled, Spirit-led life that conforms our will to that of God, 4) produces and cultivates in us the Fruit of the Spirit.

1 Samuel 17:32-37

As we continue the series, "Shaped by Jesus", we consider those things that leave us in awe. Being enraptured by God is a way to remove the tyranny of the ego. David's awe of God gave him courage to go against Goliath, who's awe was in himself. As we become more in awe of God, our faith increases. Behold His Wonders.

Ephesians 2:1-10

As we begin a short series, "Shaped By Jesus", we consider the stories that shape us. As we seek for transformation in our journey, we find ourselves helpless without supernatural help. God reached out to us to bring fulfillment. Our story must be blended with that of Jesus. Paul describes the Christian's journey and its benefits. What story is shaping you?

Luke 15:11-24

The prodigal son left his father to search for meaning and fulfillment in his life, but discovered that it wasn't in the world. As he returned, he experienced the love and acceptance he desired. We find meaning as we realize we were created to have an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

James 3:13-18

After Solomon's reign in Israel, the nation was divided between two kings: Jeroboam in Israel in the North, and Rehoboam in Judah in the South. We study 1 Kings 12-14, and learn of their decisions and the consequences. We learn from their bad examples of what can happen when we fail to seek and follow God's direction. May we seek God's wisdom through His Word and wise counsel.

Luke 4:18-21

As we conclude the series "People Together With God", we review the central core of Christianity, which is the Good News. We examine the story behind the Good News, as Jesus describes in this Luke passage. Our responsibility is to make known the good news of the Gospel in both word and deed.

Acts 4:32-5:11

We look at the need for truth telling as people devoted to Jesus together - and how, if we do truly live as a truth-telling family to one another, not only will we experience a deeper closeness with God and one another, but we will be shining as a light in a nation that is looking for a trust worthy people. 

John 6:1-58

As we look at the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand with only 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, we see Jesus make it clear that he not only meets our physical needs, but he fulfills our spiritual needs. He was not looking for political fame, but humbly revealed that he is the source of abundant life, as well as eternal life.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Once we are united with God through Christ, our life is not our own. Whatever we receive from God is to be passed on to others. His river of life is to flow through us into those we meet. As you receive comfort, compassion and power, allow the Holy Spirit to manifest them through you.

Galatians 4:6-7

In order for us to interact with God and with people, we must recognize our identity in Christ. When we accept Christ's sacrifice for us, we are adopted into His family, and become heirs to His Kingdom and His Spirit. As we realize our identity in Him, we are able to engage the world, even in these uncertain times.
