A dynamic introduction to Islam, a glimpse at Muslim experiences in Minnesota, plus on accurate information on topics as varied as, “What’s the difference between Sunni, Shia, and Suffi Muslims?” to, “How should we relate to Muslims in our midst?”

Pastor Doug Cox of Mt Calvary Lutheran in Excelsior will be our guest teacher on the subject of Islam. He will lead us in a multimedia presentation with plenty of opportunity for questions and conversation. Doug is a pastor at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior, MN. He has a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies, served as a visiting professor of Islamic Studies at The Lutheran Theological Seminary Gettysburg, PA, and has spent the past two decades working among Muslims in the USA, Egypt, France, Tunisia, and most recently Madagascar.
