Looking at the stories of Elijah, Heman, and the ministry of Jesus, we discover that mental illness is not a sign of weak faith or spiritual failure. Instead, Scripture reminds us that every person bears the image of God and has inherent dignity, even in seasons of darkness, depression, anxiety, or emotional struggle.
