What’s the best way to build friendships as a migrant?

In this episode, we dive into the heart of a question many face when moving abroad: Should you stay within your comfort zone or step out to connect with people from different backgrounds?

Mike sits down with Tari, a Nigerian lawyer based in Berlin, and Richard, a Nigerian policy consultant from Paris, to discuss their personal experiences navigating friendships and social circles across Europe.

Beyond Oil, Corruption, and Colonialism: The Hidden Roots of Africa’s Economic Struggles

In this eye-opening conversation with Shane, the founder and CEO of WorkAbroad — an AI-powered Foreign Recruitment and Relocation OS — we go beyond the usual headlines of oil, corruption, and colonialism to explore the real historical, cultural, and psychological forces keeping the African continent in a cycle of poverty.

Drawing from Adam Smith’s classical economic ideas, we ask difficult but necessary questions:

• Did Africa ever agree to the terms of global competition?
• What happens when an entire continent operates using foreign value systems?
• Are modern economists ignoring the most important factor — culture?
