Of all the commandments, which is the most important?   The most important one,” answered Jesus, is this…  “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”  Mark 12:28-30

  • I am Decided: Committed to Not Quitting
    When I commit, I don’t quit.
… Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. 6As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 2 Timothy 4:5-7
“… I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.” Revelation 3:1-2
    What’s your unfinished business?
Here is my advice: It would be good for you to finish what you started a year ago. Last year you were the first who wanted to give, and you were the first to begin doing it. 11Now you should finish what you started. … 2 Corinthians 8:10-11 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24
    Take the next step.
… being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

  • I am Decided: I am Faithful
ONE WORD THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
“Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.” Habakkuk 2:4
    1. Every interaction is an opportunity to add value.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29
    2. Every resource is an opportunity to multiply.
“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. …’” Matthew 25:21
pistos: persons who show themselves faithful in the transaction of business, the execution of commands, or the discharge of official duties
“‘So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ 26His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! …’”  Matthew 25:25-26
    3. Every prompting is an opportunity to obey God.
“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.” Acts 20:22
Obedience is our responsibility. The outcome is God’s.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. Acts 2:42-43“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:6

What if the worse-case-scenario comes true?

… But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. Genesis 39:12
… And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Why would I resist a temptation in the future if I have the power to eliminate it today?
