On the journey to your comeback, you will no doubt face opposition. In fact, it's oftentimes not until you make a resolve to comeback that hidden enemies can show their face. In this week's sermon, Pastor shows us what to do to prevent those with a vested interest in your setback from keeping you from your Comeback.

Sometimes, a comeback requires a risk of us. Many of us simply desire to live safe and comfortable lives. But pastor points out that we often get stuck in the area we played it safe in. When you live your life to be safe, you to stop living. Once you determine the resolve to have a comeback, take a risk to make it happen and create a change!

Pastor shows us how to prepare for our comeback by taking the first step: prayer! Before anything changes externally, God wants to make sure our hearts are in alignment with his will. Prayer is how we surrender our fleshly desires and remember God is still on His throne, and everything is in His control.

In the second installment of the "Comeback" series, we learn that regardless of how discouraging our circumstances seem to be, God has not forgotten the plans he has for us. He has already written a "comeback" into every setback we find ourselves in. When darkness comes, trust his faithfulness to guide you and take heart in the promises found in Jeremiah 29.

We all know what it's like for life to press a nerve. When this happens, our first instincts are to retreat and disconnect. But when we disconnect from community, we often delay our own comeback. Last week Pastor spoke about Ezekiels vision of dry bones in a valley and posed the question "Can something that has decayed for a very long time live again?" This week Pastor goes further with this concept and asks "What if the valley we find ourselves in is one we dug ourselves into?" This week, God wants you to know that if you're in a grave due to your own failure, you qualify for the gravedigger to get you out!

Oftentimes, when we think about the power of God, we often limit it to things we have lost recently. In today's sermon, pastor teaches us that God has the ability to raise to life not only those things which have recently died but also those which have been decayed for a long time.

In this powerful addition to his Arise series, Pastor meets us in our darkest places and demonstrates how God is not just God of the easy, but the difficult and impossible also. Just because we are facing difficulties, it does not mean God is not in them. In fact, it is often when we have walked through our blackest night that God tells us to "Arise". No matter the ruins, the Lord will not leave you in the darkness. He won't forget his covenant or his people. He can and will still bring glory after your heartache.

We all go through dark times in our lives where we face the ruins of something that once was strong and healthy but have since deteriorated such as: a strained relationship, your confidence or simply the ruins that remain from poor decisions we've made. In today's sermon, Pastor Brawley explores "what do you do when you're in a new year but with old ruins".

With the dawn of a new year comes a chance to embrace change or remain the same. How many years have gone by and you're still dealing with that same problem? That same sin? That same hurt? Pastor Brawley encourages us to arise from the sidelines this year, not only as individuals but as the Body of Christ. There is no time for sleeping, it is time to ARISE.
