In your decisions: Do you want God to bless your finances…or do you want God to be with you as you manage your finances? Do you want God to bless you with an awesome family…or do you want God to be present in your family? Do you want God to pour blessings on our church…or do you want God to be present in our church? Do you want God to give you a map that directs you through life…or do you want God to take you by the hand and lead you through life?

Fighting to remain in control will always lead to chaos, but giving up control leads to joy!  Pastor Donnie talks about the Magi, Herod, and the life of Ricky Martin.  Life is very different when you are willing trust God and allow Him to control it verses when you fight so hard to control all of the circumstances that life bring.  Who is in control of your life? 

When you focus on the perfection of Jesus…the imperfections of your life fades away.  When the shepherds heard of the announcement that Jesus had been born they were overwhelmed with joy!  Although, they had the dynamic of a hard life at the moment their eyes were focused on Jesus nothing else mattered.  We too can experience that kind of joy if we will focus our affections on Jesus Christ!
