This is Suzie Zhang, met her on my first day of registration @ Tsinghua. I have always wondered what studying development/ policies meant.
In this podcast, we talked about her double degree course in International Affairs with John Hopkins University, and the trips they went on during the course. Sounded so fun! She also shared her affinity with volunteering, public policy, Her views on Studying in China and her insights on Belt and Road Initiative during her research trip to SEA with her classmates and yoga.
Policy making is not just about theory – u need people who are empathic, who has the curiosity to ask why, the desire to dig deeper, and to see problems from different perspectives.
