Desha was raised in the small, close net town of Vermillion, SD, where she

learned early in life that community is important. She received her BA from the

University of South Dakota and soon found herself divorced and a single mom.

After her son Andre’ graduated, Desha started looking for ways to be more involved in

her community. A simple post on Facebook while recovering from a broken foot,

gave her the inspiration to found 100+Women Who Care Tucson. 100+ Women

is a giving circle that meets quarterly and in a short one-hour meeting, raises

thousands of dollars for a worthy local non-profit. In a little over 5 years, 100+

Women Who Care Tucson has raised over $485,600 for 23 local non-profits.

Desha has worked in sales her entire life.

She has worked the past 27 years at Altria Group Distribution Company where she has held several positions focusing in sales, training, and recruiting. Desha is happily remarried to Leslie Davis. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family and University of Arizona basketball! She is a recent graduate of Greater Tucson Leadership.
