Happy International Women's Day.

As women we all do better when we are able to challenge each other AND support each other. Together a healthy dose of each makes for a better outcome.

To follow up on my focus on the courage of a bully from last week, I focus this week on how we need to be willing to stand up together against systems and practices that keep us down.

We've all heard that bullies are insecure. That makes sense. Does that mean we should challenge them? They fear feeling vulnerable so that may back-fire.

In this episode I explore how the bully applies their courage with my own story of being bullied.

Peace of Mind offers a significant boost to our capacity to perform.

Workplaces and team leaders who understand and act on this knowledge generate a much higher level of respect and loyalty that then translates into significantly better outcomes.

When we can find peace in the many valleys of our life we position our self to learn and grow in profound ways. In ways that help us be better when we once again reach the mountain tops.

In fact, perhaps when we can find a quiet peace in our lowest moments, we realize exponential growth.

To keep the peace may be the desired outcome. It is important to examine the trade offs in every situation. Look at the costs and the benefits. We generally benefit from understanding why we seek a particular outcome.

When the ego takes control, the quest for peace can be eroded and even perverted. A systemic hypocrisy takes control. It silences the truth and warps perception. 

For peace, and even a hope for reconciliation, truth must be sought with all our might. Long term resilience requires that we continually seek the truth.

When we deny having power we miss opportunities to exercise it in the quest for better outcomes in every way. 

It is time to use our power and in doing so expand the power and influence of others.

When we choose to wear armour, we limit our capacity to connect with others and be effective in influencing and engaging with others.
