She grew up in a predominately black neighborhood with a Mexican American mom and an African American dad. As a child she observed her surroundings and became aware of how things were and weren't. She was determined to go into education to make a difference. However, during university, she took on an opportunity with Boys and Girls Club. That opportunity would change her life forever. Just when Latisha thought she had found her destiny in serving children, communities, and society, life provided her a new direction. A direction focused on organizational change and culture.

Latisha Franklin is from Milwaukee, WI USA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Engagement & Education from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. She also earned a Master of Science in Organizational Change Leadership from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. She has held several positions with the Boys and Girls Club of America and was the recipient of the national reward of Dependable Leader from Maytag and the Boys and Girls Club of America in 2011.
