Impel Forward Podcast

In this episode of the Impel Forward Podcast, we dive into the challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals as they try to reenter the workforce. We explore why it's so difficult for felons to secure employment after release, touching on issues like social stigma, limited access to opportunities, and the long-lasting effects of a criminal record on one's professional life. Our guest shares personal experiences and insights into how these barriers create a cycle that's hard to break, and we discuss strategies for breaking down these obstacles—both from a societal and policy perspective. The episode highlights why it's crucial for businesses and communities to give people with criminal records a fair chance, not only to support individual growth and stability but also to benefit the wider economy.
