Dark day sets the tone for a less cheery feel as we record 1st time since before the holidays.  After a rough start to the Christmas holidays, we do a mashup of pre-recordings on various topics. Why everyone asks about pre-school for Ella and why she won’t be going.  Playground differences Czechia vs. USA. And, last but not least, the highs and lows of toilet training a toddler while traveling and leading a life with too many emotions. Smashing out 2018 with this last full podcast of the year.

Ariel and Mats talk about the Christmas Day family traditions, foods and beliefs about Santa on the roof and more, in USA.  It’s 100% all ages family friendly episode..we believe in Santa!! Ariel talks about her mom's Armenian tradition of dolma and gingerbread and how they filled their home each year.  And, how she got hooked on Sci fi from the yearly Star Trek marathon's she watched with her cousin. How house hopping around the San Francisco Bay area each holiday season was a crazy circuit of great food memories that made Christmas special, each year.

Ariel speaks with Swedish mom, Lisa Wik Granberg and her 14 year old daughter, Freja, about life in Sweden as parent and teen.  We walked around their Native American – Western Style Ranch, discussing life and work at Håtö Gård as the conversation evolved intuitively.  We touched on attitudes and ideas around parenting, teen life, horse therapy and disabled, destiny, tantrums, alcohol, discipline, social media and safety, ADHD, city vs. countryside, family support, spiritual connection, Native American flute and traditions and much more.
