Community has looked a lot of different ways for me over the years including packed online networking calls to quiet in-person walks or coffee meet-ups with just one other person.

And if I'm honest, I used to believe that bigger meant better. That community needed to be every day, every moment, sharing about each other constantly on social, etc. to be powerful. But this past year has shown me that intimacy, intention, and alignment matter so much more than numbers OR even who.

This week on the Power of Choice series, I’m opening up about a part of my story I’ve never fully shared before: what it’s been like to step out of the “shoulds” I grew up with and start choosing my own spiritual path as an adult.

For most of my life, my spiritual path was chosen for me. Church on Sundays, Children’s choir (which I did love!), the beliefs and rhythms my family lived by. It all shaped me, but it wasn’t always my choice.

It hasn’t been linear, and it hasn’t been easy. For years, I buried my questions under work, busyness, and burnout. I ignored the pull to explore what I truly believed in because I was scared to slow down long enough to ask. 

But over the last couple of years, something shifted and I’m learning that spirituality doesn’t have to be defined, labeled, or look like anyone else’s to be real.

In this episode, I share:

I am still very much “in the process.” I don’t have all the answers. Yet, I’m finally choosing to seek them for myself. And maybe, just maybe, this will give you permission to do the same.
