Build A 5 Star Cleaning Team For Your Serviced Accommodation Business

In this episode I (Ryan Luke) host an incredible person all the way from Texas, US who caught my attention on Instagram so I just had to dig deeper as I knew this would be a powerful episode for the listeners, especially those in the short lets and serviced accommodation industry. 

Hosts and cleaners are often battling one another rather than working as a team so it was time to find out from the cleaners perspective why they think this happens and what you can do as hosts to combat the issues and ensure you turn your properties over efficiently as cleaners are your gold, they are the backbone of any hospitality business. 

Hosts Vs Cleaner: Uncovering why hosts don’t give cleaners the time of day and why this will backfire on them quickly is a major talking point and clearly a very passionate subject. Working as a team hosts and cleaners can have a very successful business and those that focus on this reap the rewards for sure as consistency is the key. 

Cleaner Recruitment: Something most hosts struggle with is cleaner recruitment and keeping a consistent team motivated to stay and do a great job every time. Did you know cleaners can make more doing residential cleans and with a lot less hassle? Food for thought for all you hosts out there who don’t value your cleaners enough and wonder why your turnover of staff is high, often leaving you high and dry with an incoming guest due and an unclean property. 

Training: The backbone of any good business relies on training your staff and this is no different however most companies don’t engage in any training whatsoever and wonder why they end up with bad guest reviews.
