Aston Villa produced a brilliant performance to secure a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday.

Goals from Emiliano Buendia and Ollie Watkins sealed all three points, as we followed up our impressive win at Fenerbahce in the Europa League in midweek with another strong display on the road.

The win reinforces our place in the Premier League standings in third spot, as we continue to maintain a gap over the chasing pack, while we were also able to shorten the deficit to league leaders Arsenal.
