Aston Villa salvaged a point after Tammy Abraham’s late equaliser secured a 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Saturday.

Villa were poor again as we fell behind in the first half and struggled to find any answers in our response, but Abraham came off the bench and bagged a second goal in as many games to seal a share of the spoils.

It’s more frustration and disappointment for Villa though as our form continues to dip as well as our performance level, with Wolves away next on the schedule.

Aston Villa crashed out of the FA Cup this weekend after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Newcastle United.

Tammy Abraham gave us an early lead but Marco Bizot’s red card just before half-time changed the game and set the table for a second-half comeback from the visitors.

In turn, it’s disappointment for Villa as our FA Cup run comes to an early end, with all of our focus now on the Premier League and Europa League between now and the end of the season.

Aston Villa toiled but found a way to secure three valuable points in our 1-0 win over Brighton in midweek.

With the game looking as though it was heading towards a goalless draw, up stepped Leon Bailey to whip in a dangerous corner with Tyrone Mings heading it towards goal and getting a helpful deflection on its way into the back of the net.

It’s a pivotal win for Villa in the ongoing race for Champions League qualification as we extend the gap over our rivals trying to chase us down, and it’s on to Newcastle United in the FA Cup at Villa Park this weekend as we look to string some wins together.

Aston Villa held Bournemouth to a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium in our Premier League encounter on Saturday.

Morgan Rogers broke the deadlock in the first half with a fantastic finish, but the hosts continued to threaten before finding an equaliser shortly after the break.

Villa had to dig in and defend well to ensure we came away with at least a point, and so albeit it was a bitterly disappointing performance, it feels like a decent result to come away with a draw.

That said it does allow the chasing pack to close the gap on us in the race for Champions League qualification.

Aston Villa secured second place in the Europa League table on Thursday night after a 3-2 win over RB Salzburg.

The visitors took advantage of a poor performance from Villa in the opening hour to go 2-0 ahead, but goals from Morgan Rogers and Tyrone Mings drew us level as we launched a stirring comeback in the latter stages of the encounter.

It was youngster Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba who came off the bench to convert our winner, in what was a brilliant moment for him and a critical one for the team as we ensured that we’ll play at home in the second leg throughout the knockout phase of the competition.

Aston Villa picked up a 1-0 win away at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night, with Jadon Sancho emerging as our match-winner in Istanbul.

It was an impressive performance from Villa as we secured our place in the top-eight of the league phase to, thus qualifying directly to the knockout stage and round-of-16.

Despite facing a difficult atmosphere and opponent, Unai Emery’s side did enough to seal the three points and we now head into our final league phase game against RB Salzburg next week looking to finish top of the pile.

Aston Villa’s 11-game home winning streak came to a disappointing end this past weekend after we suffered a 1-0 defeat to Everton.

Unai Emery was dealt an early injury blow as captain John McGinn was forced off in the first half, and although Villa struggled for rhythm and quality, we snatched at countless chances in a wasteful performance.

That was ultimately punished as the visitors scored on the hour mark and secured all three points, as Villa look ahead to Fenerbahce in the Europa League, and hopefully we’ll bounce back immediately.
