Perhaps the aspect of the curse we see most clearly and feel most bitterly is that of death. This, too, has been answered in the coming of Jesus Christ! Listen to Pastor Kyle's message to learn how Christ's coming reverses the curse of death, and secures eternal life for those who believe in him.

Because of Adam's sin, God placed the earth under a curse. Instead of cooperating with man, now it would fight back and withhold its crop. In turn, man's work would not be painful, frustrating toil. The good news of Christmas is that Jesus "comes to make his blessings flow far as the curse is found." How does Jesus' coming address the curse of a broken world, and of painful toil?

The second part of God's curse upon humanity and creation in response to sin, is the curse of broken relationships. We see the breakdown of peace in Adam and Eve's relationships right away, and that brokenness spreads and infects all humanity. Find out how the coming of Jesus Christ undoes this curse and transforms human relationships.

Jesus concludes his instructions about stewardship by reminding his people of God's faithful, providential care. In one of the most beautiful passages in the New Testament, he promises to take care of the Kingdom-first giver. Be encouraged, and be challenged to live with your eyes on his kingdom and righteousness!

In v. 24, Jesus gives a challenging exhortation: You can only serve one master. Make sure it's God. Listen as Pastor Kyle unfolds what enslavement to riches might look like in your life, and turn your heart toward Jesus Christ as your only King.

Our perspective on life and possessions is often upside-down. We tend to view this earthly life as the most important, and the accumulation of wealth and possessions as essential. In these verses, Jesus aims to correct our vision, and urges us not to waste our lives pursuing the wrong kingdom.

We spend so much time and effort in building for ourselves earthy kingdoms padded with stuff. In these provocative verses, Jesus warns us about the fleeting nature of earthly treasures, and urges us to invest in Kingdom enterprises, where the reward is eternal.

Having completed the text of John's gospel, Pastor Kyle offers a one-sermon overview of the entire book. Organized around John's purpose statement in 20:30-31, it is an exhortation to believe in the Lord Jesus and find life in his name.

The last chapter of John's gospel shows Jesus appearing once more to a group of his disciples. He feeds them a breakfast of bread and fish, and then reinstates Peter to a ministry of shepherding his flock. This message reflects on the mercy of Jesus, and on the commission that all Christians have from the Lord, to feed on him, and then feed others.

Jesus appears to Thomas, and directly deals with his unbelief concerning the resurrection. In light of his commissioning of the disciples (see John 20:19-23), Thomas' unbelief provides an example of the kind of obstacles that Christians will encounter as they bear witness for Christ. In this message, Pastor Kyle reflects on the nature of doubt and unbelief, and urges Christians to be faithful and clear in their proclamation of Jesus Christ.
