In this week's episode Rachael Babin from Oncology News Australia talks with Associate Professor Matt Naylor about his research on identifying aggressive prostate cancer and his role as a Research Integrity Advisor at Sydney University.

Matt and his team have shown that levels of the gene CBFβ are increased during prostate cancer and when they stop the gene from working, tumour growth and spread is dramatically reduced. In his latest project, Matt's team will investigate exactly how CBFβ functions and determine if levels of the gene can be used as a marker to predict if a patient will have an aggressive or slow growing form of prostate cancer.

Rachael Babin is the Editor-in-Chief of The Oncology Newsletter and Publisher of www.oncologynews.com.au. The Oncology Newsletter is a weekly publication for healthcare professionals with an interest in oncology, featuring the latest news, views and reviews. Click here to subscribe
