Professor Jolobe is the author of the book "International Mediation in the South African Transition: Brokering Power in Intractable Conflicts." He has also published numerous journal articles on topics such as national and local elections, coalition politics, party financing, and conflict mediation in Africa.

Last year, 46 000 more people were without jobs in the fourth quarter of 2023, bringing South Africa’s unemployment rate to 32.1%.
