  • Moving Beyond Anxiety

Why did a book that was started 18 months or more ago and then finished in the middle of last year take until this April to be released? God’s timing. Perfect for this strange time. The Coronavirus has thrown us for a loop. Life and health are threatened. Jobs are lost. The economy that was robust now needs restarted. We try and balance opening up with protecting each other. Staying at home or being quarantined has left many lonely and anxious.

Licensed Counselor and Pastor, David Chadwick’s book comes as a breath of fresh air by giving us 12 biblical principles as a powerful antidote to anxiety. Listen today as his gives us a taste of what we are in-store for by reading his book: Moving Beyond Anxiety.

David Chadwick is presently the pastor of Moments of Hope Church in Charlotte, N.C.  He has been a pastor for almost 40 years.  He played basketball under the legendary coach, Dean Smith, at the University of North Carolina and was a member of the Final Four 1969 team.  David also has a graduate counseling psychology degree from the University of Florida and an MDiv and DMin from Columbia Theological Seminary.  These post graduate degrees have allowed David to combine therapeutic counseling theories with biblical truth.  David is the author of nine books and hosts a weekly talk show on faith and values on WBT in Charlotte, N.C.  He has been married to the love of his life, Marilynn, for 42 years and has three children, Bethany, David Banner, and Michael.  They have given David and Marilynn seven grandchildren.

  • IRAN ALIVE

The fastest growing Christian Community in the world?  Iran.  Second?  Afghanistan.  Surprised?  Me too, but not after hearing Hormoz.  His passion for his people, faith in what God can do and a courage to follow where God is directing has been part of the explosive growth going on inside one of the most well know Muslim countries in the world.  You’ll hear the passion in his voice and his infectious belief, which God has used to bring a light to a world in darkness.

Dr. Hormoz Shariat was born into a Muslim family in Iran and came to the US after the Islamic Revolution of 1979. He came to Christ while earning his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at USC in 1980.

In 1987, he planted a church in San Jose, CA. With hundreds of Muslim converts, it still remains one of the largest churches of its kind in the US.

In 2001, Dr. Hormoz followed the Lord’s leading and founded Iran Alive Ministries, which utilizes Satellite TV to reach the millions of lost and broken people in Iran and the rest of the Middle East. Today, we broadcast the Gospel 24/7 from our studio in Dallas to Iran and the Middle East, trusting the Lord to use us to transform a nation, which is responding to the Gospel unlike any other time in history.

His passion for Muslims stems in part because of the murder of his brother, Hamraz, who was arrested in Iran at the young age of 16 on a minor political charge.  After 2 years in jail, he was executed by firing squad. God showed me the best way to respond to this tragedy was to dedicate my life to loving Muslims and sharing the Gospel with as many of them as possible.

Dr. Hormoz is also passionate about serving Americans by providing inside information about Iran and how it impacts the US. This is information you will not hear in the mainstream media!  He strives to help us make sense of current events in the Middle East from both a Christian and a former Muslim perspective.  He endeavors to help us understand Islam and the reasons behind the actions of Muslims in Iran.  By pairing his own experience with stories and testimonies from Persians who are currently living in Iran, Dr. Hormoz will encourage, inspire, and surprise listeners with information about the Iran you may not know existed.

E58 Worship is the Music Team for the Expression 58 church in Los Angeles California. The 58 refers to Isaiah 58 where God instructs Israel on turning from false style of worship to one that truly honors and glorifies him.

E58 works to that goal and in doing so, a collaborating group of Singer, Songwriters and Worship Leaders have come together (even called from far away places – Australia and Barbados - to empty themselves before God and look for his guidance in creating worship songs that speak to the heart at a deep and personal level, challenging, reflecting, soothing, speaking in a way to elicit our souls to glorify God.

  • Bridge to Muslims

A new website has just launched, created for Muslims who seek to learn about the Christian faith, as well as Christians who love and care about them. ChristianfromMuslim.com uniquely combines teaching, testimonies, expert answers to Muslim questions, and shares the reality of life for a former Muslim.

Our interviewee and the Website host Dr. Cynthia explains, “The flood of immigrants into the West over the past two decades might be a risk, but it is not a purposeless accident. God moved Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs and others here so that they can come to know him (Acts 17:26-27). In obedience to Christ, and filled with his love, we must engage them!”

The site was created with 2 basic objectives. The first is to provide free training so that every Christian in America and beyond can be prepared to bring Muslims to Christ: churches, Christian colleges, missionaries, individuals, and interest groups. Anyone can now gain skills and insights that previously would cost thousands of dollars to gain through seminary courses or expensive conferences.

The second objective of the website is to attract and answer the questions of Muslims seekers, and disciple those who newly believe in Jesus.  Muslims ask questions from their perspective – often not what Christians expect. As we answer them, viewers can see the live reactions of a new believer.

Dr. Cynthia has been involved with ethnic evangelism in the USA for over four decades. Although American and not from the Middle East, her experience, personal, and professional connections with the Muslim World help her to understand and connect with Muslims. In fact, in working with Muslims in the U.S., she says it is often an advantage being an American. They like to know an American who cares.

But Dr. C is more than academic, she loves Muslims! Around town, in their centers, and on campuses, she meets and makes friends with them. Dr. Cynthia has personally spoken to thousands of Muslims, shared the gospel with them, and praise God, seen them come to Christ!

These experiences and relationships have helped her understand Muslim thinking. She is not deceived about the truth of Islam. She has seen firsthand how its principles underlie its practices, leading to the suffering and spiritual hunger of those ruled by it.

In 2002, Dr. C worked overseas with Brother E, a Palestinian evangelist, whom her organization later sponsored to come to America as a missionary. Through him she gained deeper insight into Middle Eastern thinking in general, and specifically how to evangelize Muslims.

Dr. Cynthia has received an Excellence in Teaching award from a major American university, and a community Physician of the Year award.

A board-certified physician with decades of experience in America, and some overseas, Dr. Cynthia is now retired from medicine, and, besides hosting for www.ChristianfromMuslim.com, she directs American Ethnic Ministries, and is still active in personal evangelism, organizing outreaches, writing tracts and devotionals, and discipling new believers. She has taught in America and overseas for renown ministries, churches of various denominations, and in universities (see partial list below) and has held hospital, church, charity, and community leadership positions.

Because it sounds friendlier, she started going by “Dr. Cynthia” in hospital work, dropping her last name. Now, with Muslim evangelism a capital crime, she continues to go simply by “Dr. Cynthia.”
