  • The Burnout Update: What My Psychiatrist Saw That I Couldn’t

    Episode Show notes:

After recording my last episode in the worst of my burnout, I’m back with an honest update on how I’m doing and what my psychiatrist recognized that I couldn’t yet see.

In this episode, I talk about:

-The potentially life threatening symptoms I experienced from burnout-How I got evaluated and why my psychiatrist pushed for a 12 week leave of absence-My recovery and treatment plan -An update on my recovery and what I am doing that has helped

Disclaimer: This episode is a personal account of my experiences, not medical advice. If anything resonates, I hope it encourages you to seek support and give yourself permission to take your experiences and symptoms seriously.

  • I Didn’t Know Burnout Could Get THIS Bad

I literally kept going back and forth with deciding if I should publish this episode or not.

I recorded it shortly after one of the hardest points of my burnout when exhaustion had gone faaaar beyond feeling tired, my brain felt like it had straight up just stopped working, and after a convo with my big sis (who is in fact a licensed professional counselor), I began to realize that what I was experiencing was much more serious than I ever thought.

At the time of this recording, I hadn’t been professionally evaluated yet. I was still very much in it. So… be prepared to hear some brain-lag moments lol

In this episode, I talk about what those days actually felt like, the physical and emotional symptoms I was experiencing, and the simple Google search that completely changed the way I understood burnout. As I read through the signs and symptoms, I started recognizing myself in one after another and realizing just how much prolonged stress had been affecting me.

Sooooo needless to say; This one is raw AF. There are moments where I struggle to find my words. There are moments where you can probably hear just how utterly exhausted I was. Normally, I would have edited those pieces out.

This time, I left ‘em in. I wanted to keep the rawness in and showcase the truth of where I really was. And this wasn’t even the worst of it!

Because burnout isn’t just a cute “take a bubble bath and rest” kind of tired. And before experiencing it myself, I genuinely didn’t understand how deeply chronic stress could begin affecting your ability to function on not just a mental level, but a physical level as well. It was kinda scary to say the least.

I’m sharing this because maybe someone listening will recognize something in their own experience a little sooner than I did.

For the record, I am doing okay now. :) I have since then taken steps to get help professionally and taken the time and space to start recovering. In the next episode, I'll bring you into what's happened since this recording, what I've learned, and where I am now.

PSA: If you’re experiencing symptoms that are interfering with your daily life or you’re concerned about your physical or mental health, please consider talking with a qualified healthcare professional. This episode is simply my personal experience and isn’t intended as medical advice.

Thank you for being here and letting me share this part of my story with you.

For my Substack: I will continue to share my journey via the podcast as well as detailed blog post articles to continue sharing. At the moment of releasing this episode, I have decided to take the pressure off my shoulders to create the fun concept of an “interactive” podcast. Therefore, my articles attached to podcast episodes may look a little less polished or fun for the time being. I also will be taking the paid tier options off while I am in recovery. Cheers XO

  • Burnout, Anxiety & Trying to Hold My Sh*t Together

The past few weeks completely knocked the wind out of me. Between an incredibly stressful stretch at work, planning Tony and I’s engagement party, helping Tony recover from a herniated disc, and navigating an unexpected family situation, I found myself mentally and emotionally exhausted.

And then... I started overthinking the fact that I wasn’t creating content.

    Again.

In this episode, I’m talking honestly about what happens when your brain never seems to stop running. The pressure to show up perfectly. The belief that every post has to happen in the exact right moment.

I share the moment I first realized my level of worrying wasn’t actually “normal,” along with the story of eventually being diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder after years of assuming everyone else’s brain worked like mine.

If you’ve ever spiraled because someone didn’t text you back, convinced yourself the worst-case scenario was happening, or felt guilty for disappearing when life got overwhelming, I hope this conversation helps you feel a little less alone.

In this episode I talk about:

    * Why overthinking hinders our ability to accept that posting something “not relevant” is totally okay

    * What the last few exhausting weeks have looked like behind the scenes

    * The pressure to always show up consistently online

    * Learning to embrace imperfect content

    * The first time I realized my anxiety wasn’t “normal”

    * My experience being diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder

    * Why giving yourself grace is often harder than giving it to everyone else

Thank you for spending part of your day with me. I’m grateful you’re here, whether you’ve been listening from the beginning or just found this little corner of the internet.

Some raw honesty: I want to get my Substack articles more attention, but I knew if I added the elements I usually do (polls, photos, links etc), then this episode will continue to get pushed back. So I’m hitting publish anyway!

Hop in the group chat if you wanna talk more about this topic <3

  • Were We All Brainwashed Into Chasing Success?

This episode started as a continuation of my last conversation about embracing my inconsistent energy, but it quickly turned into something much deeper.

After learning more about my Human Design Motivation, Innocence, I found myself reflecting on patterns I've repeated for years in business, content creation, and goal setting. What began as curiosity about my chart led to an unexpected realization about why so many of my past online business efforts felt exhausting, forced, and ultimately led to burn out.

Then I had an epiphany that stopped me in my tracks.

For years, nearly every business expert, coach, course, and program I followed measured success with the same metric: six figures.

    Six-figure launches.Six-figure funnels.Six-figure businesses.Six-figure months.

And suddenly a thought hit me:

    "What if I was brainwashed?"

In this episode, I explore how money became the primary focus of my goals, why that may have been pulling me further away from my natural motivation, and what it means to redefine success on my own terms.

    We talk about:

Why "Innocence" motivation in Human Design challenged the way I approach goals

The realization that many online business spaces prioritize revenue above everything else

How external definitions of success can quietly shape our decisions

Why I struggled to stay aligned with previous business models

The difference between chasing outcomes and following genuine curiosity

Creating a version of success that feels meaningful, sustainable, and authentic

If you've ever felt like everyone else received a rulebook for success that never quite fit you, this conversation might be exactly what you need to hear.

Because maybe the goal isn't to become a six-figure version of someone else.

Maybe the goal is to become more of yourself.

  • What If You're Not Mean't to be Consistent?

I recorded this episode while I was at work. In this episode, I’m sharing a real-time realization I had about my so-called “inconsistency”… and why I’m starting to see it completely differently.

For a long time, I thought my inability to stay consistent meant something was wrong with me. That I needed more discipline, a better plan, or more structure.

But after diving deeper into my Human Design—and actually observing my energy in real life—I’m realizing that what I labeled as inconsistency might just be me working against my natural rhythm.

This episode was recorded in a very unfiltered, in-the-moment way (literally while I was at work), because I’m experimenting with something new: creating when the energy is there instead of trying to save it for the “perfect” time.

    If you’ve ever:

    -struggled to stick to routines

-felt productive at random times but not when you “should” be

-started things with excitement and lost momentum

-questioned your ability to follow through

this episode will probably hit home.

    We’ll talk about:

-Why forcing consistency might be the problem

-How to start paying attention to your natural energy patterns

-What it looks like to work with your energy instead of against it

-And how you can begin taking inventory of your own rhythms

This is less about fixing yourself…and more about understanding yourself.

In this episode, I share exactly what I rediscovered and how impactful the answers have been. How you can also do the same for yourself if you are feeling disconnected.

  • Why Having Your Life Figured Out Is Kind of a Lie

In this episode, I’m talking about something I’ve been reflecting on a lot lately… the pressure to have your life “figured out.”

    Because honestly? I don’t think that’s real.

I share a moment from my life when I technically had nothing figured out — moving across the country with barely any money, no solid plan, and no guarantees — and yet, I was literally thriving.

    We’re getting into:

    * Why the idea of having everything figured out might actually be holding you back

    * The unexpected freedom that comes from not knowing what you’re doing

    * Why some of your happiest, most aligned moments don’t come from certainty

If you’ve been feeling behind, stuck, or like you should have it all together by now… this one’s for you!

You’re not behind. You’re just in a chapter that doesn’t come with a map.
