For her final show before taking parental leave, Wednesday host Ali Muldrow talks to one of her all-time favorite poets, Andrea Gibson. They talk about identity, gender, and what it means to create art.

During the hour, Andrea does two live readings of their poems “Your Life” and “America Reloading.”

Andrea Gibson is a poet and activist based in Colorado. They are the author of several poetry collections, including Lord of the Butterflies (Button Poetry, 2018) and You Better Be Lightning, out November 9, 2021 and now available for pre-order.
