This episode is part 1 of a 2 part series that tackles updates on the ongoing presidential campaign.

This week we set out to determine how the presidential candidates' campaigns are going. We reviewed political ads or videos released by Bongbong Marcos, Isko Moreno, Ping Lacson, and Manny Pacquiao. We also reviewed their current approach to campaigning and how impactful it is based on our observation.

Russia has invaded Ukraine. As the bloody confrontation is happening, the whole world watches. Although the international community almost unanimously agree that the actions of Russia is deplorable, we see the hesitancy to do more than condemn Russia. 

In this episode we talked about the history of the tensions between Ukraine and Russia. We also talked about the overall situation within Europe when NATO and Russia started butting heads. We examined what the United Nations can do in situations like this and we zeroed in on the deep flaw within the system of the UN Security Council.

We examined the stance of the presidentiables in this conflict and weighed how good their supposed comparison of the Ukraine - Russia crisis to our own conflict against China for the West Philippine Sea. Are these two even comparable? Is the Philippines' Mutual Defense Treaty with the US enough as a deterrent? How strong is the Mutual Defense Treaty compared to the treaties that Japan holds and to the NATO alliance?

At this point, we’ve heard the majority of the president’s promises. We covered many of the interviews, debates, and platforms in-depth. Many of the so-called plans laid out will need congressional support to be implemented. This is why for this week, we are shining light on the senatorial line-up, apart from the usual celebrities, we also covered the families who are looking to dominate this 2022. 

While it’s not the first time relatives have been in the Senate at the same, this will be the first time that several families will hold multiple seats. We discussed the dangers of lack of representation and the inherent flaws in the senate. We also covered the important functions in the senate in hopes to serve as a guide to measuring the candidates we should vote for in the senate.

So it begins! The campaign period for national posts has started. Most of the presidential candidates held their proclamation rallies in front of roaring crowds.

The stage is set for what could possibly be the most divisive election season the Philippines will experience. Let's explore the strategies, the narratives, the supporter movements, and the controversies that surround the upcoming elections.

In this episode we talked about all those and a lot more! Who do you think will win? Can Bongbong Marcos maintain his lead? Can Leni Robredo chip away at the BBM base enough for her to have a chance? Can Isko Moreno really outpace Leni? Will this be the only belt Manny Pacquiao cannot conquer? Regardless of what happens, we are sure in for one extremely polarizing elections.

170+ Party lists are running for the May 2022 elections and you are only supposed to choose one. How are you supposed to choose which one to vote for? Do you know enough about most of them to make an informed decision? Do you know what these party list groups are fighting for? Why are we not paying as much attention to them considering that 20% of the congress is made up of party list representatives?

The party list candidates are usually the most overlooked candidates during elections. They are usually an afterthought and can usually be found on the back of the ballot. We only know some of them exclusively because we saw their tarps or billboards. Some we know because their representatives are either famous artists, former elected officials, or sometimes both. 

In this episode we took a quick look at the list of party lists running in the coming May 2022 elections and we tried to search for more information about them. We also talked about how a lot of the party lists' sector that they claim to represent overlaps with other party list groups.

In this episode we discussed what we thought about the interview format and how it managed to flesh out issues better and show us how much the candidates actually know about the issues. We also talked about Bongbong Marcos' performance. Did he do as well as his supporters say? How does his performance look when compared to Leni Robredo, Isko Moreno, Ping Lacson, and Manny Pacquiao?

The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews by GMA News is out! This is the first time almost all the presidential candidates are put side by side for the people to watch. Emphasis on almost.

In this episode we talked about Bongbong Marcos' absenteeism. We explored how his supporters defended him, how his opponents attacked him, and how he is losing people the people on the fence. Could this be a weak point for the BBM and Sara Duterte camp?

We also talked about the format that Jessica Soho went for in the interviews. We questioned why a lot of the questions were rehashed personality questions while a lot of the important issues that we needed to hear about was crammed into a speed round.

The public reception was also up for discussion. We went in depth into how Leni Robredo and her supporters reacted to her performance, how Panfilo Ping Lacson gained ground, how Isko Moreno sweet talked his way through the entire interview, and how Manny Pacquiao kept rehashing his 3 main points to answer almost all of the questions.

Now that we have taken a look at all the Presidential candidates' economic platforms, it is time to take a look at their campaign strategies!

We ran through the recent campaign stunts from Isko Moreno and Manny Pacquiao. We also took a look at how the camps of Leni Robredo, Bongbong Marcos, and Sara Duterte dealt with the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.

We talked about the current social media landscape and the amount of political ads that are currently running. We took all those into consideration when we watched and reacted to the interview of COMELEC Commissioner James Jimenez as he talks about how they are planning to enforce campaign rules this coming 2022 Philippine National Elections.

This is the last episode in our in depth look at the presidential candidates' platforms. We will look at their economic plans that they shared at the 47th Philippine Business Conference and Expo's Presidential Candidate Forum.

Last but not least is Vice President Leni Robredo! We examined the economic platform that she presented and explained it in the simplest way we can.
