Before the day was over, I would be getting a personal first-hand look at living conditions I could never have imagined—and the things that I witnessed would make a major imprint—

He was my friend, mentor, counselor, and the door opener to my future. Other than my Dad, he played the most significant role in my life.

I didn’t know him or anything about him, but It was as if a beam of light from heaven had singled him out in the group standing in front of me, and I knew I was to pray over him. Our heavenly Father wanted this young man to know that he was fully and forever—forgiven.

Jesus once spoke these exact words in John chapter 11: ‘Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me…will never ever die.’ And that means—there is no reason to fear—and every reason to be at peace.
