Episode 107 is filled with Cape Cod nostalgia.
It begins with a bittersweet look back at the New England icon the Christmas Tree Shops as the company gets set to close all of its stores by the end of August. Although it grew to be more than a local gift shop this chain was born and developed on Cape Cod.
Known as the 'Constitution State' Connecticut is home to more than 3.6 million people. This week we will take a Road Trip to the largest city in the state when we visit Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Time moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it. We're going to heed those immortal words of Ferris Bueller and take a look around. It will be a fun and fast-paced trip Back In the Day as we go back 30 years to look at the year in music in 1993.
There will be a major trip down memory lane for long-time Cape Codders in this week's Top 5. We will explore some of the stores we grew up on in the 1980s that are no longer around today. Will you remember any of these?
There will of course be a brand new This Week In History and Time Capsule as we take a morbid look back to the very first execution in the electric chair.

Episode 106 takes a look back at Cape Cod's first air disaster. During the dawn of passenger air travel a company set its sights on Cape Cod for air tourism. This story goes from a spectacular triumph to a horrific tragedy in the span of a few weeks. Today however it has been mostly forgotten.
This week's Road Trip takes us to a beautiful slice of seacoast as we visit Rye, New Hampshire. Dotted with inviting beaches, classic restaurants, plentiful shopping, and attractions like whale watches and more, New Hampshire's first European settlement is a must for New England summer travelers.

Episode 105 is an extended trip down memory lane. It's a hybrid episode, part list, part Back In the Day, with some embarrassing stories sprinkled in.
Growing up we all have our differing opinions on what is considered 'cool.' Born in the 1970s I was a child of the 80s and a teenager of the 90s. There are a lot of cool things I saw, watched, listened to, wore, and ate. Some things have aged well. Some things have not aged well. You can be the judge as I break down what I thought was cool growing up.
One caveat is that many of these things in this episode were things that I either saw the 'cool kids' use/have or were things I thought would make me appear cool in their eyes. So whether you're my age, enjoy nostalgia, or are just curious about what was considered cool in the 80s and 90s this episode will have something for everyone.

Episode 104 is a return to the full-length format. It begins with a story that needed to be told.
For a time, a very brief time, I was part of a show on a college radio station. That was ten years ago. What was the show about? Who was a part of it? Why did it only last a short time? All of that will be revealed in hilarious detail.
Wanna get away? Well this week's Road Trip will take you to the furthest reaches of New England. We will escape the crowds and visit the beautiful small town of Madawaska, Maine located right on the Canadian border. It is not the middle of nowhere, but you do have to go through the middle of nowhere to get there. 
Investments involve risk. Some investments like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and others look like can't miss with hindsight. Beanie Babies were thought to be a similar investment opportunity. Cute, plush, affordable, and collectible. Beanie Babies were the first internet sensation. Incredibly it was 30 years ago when the pellet-filled stuffed animals first debuted. We go way Back In the Day to look at the Beanie fad and whether any of them actually ended up being valuable.
This week's Top 5 is near and dear to my 80s Child's heart. We will look at some of the greatest Creature Feature B-Movies. Legendary monsters, iconic special effects, maybe not completely, but these films have a special place in my heart and likely many people my age.
There is also a brand new This Week In History and Time Capsule featuring the grand opening of Disneyland.

After six months on hiatus, the podcast is back with Episode 103!
This is a special bonus episode that will pair well with Episode 102. So much has happened since that episode dropped and I will go into all of it here.
Three books have been published which have been the lion's share of where my time has gone. I will go into the process of being published traditionally versus doing it on my own as I have done both this year.
Searching for the Lady of the Dunes is now available and there is a great new website that was built for the book, documentary, and everything about the case. Plus now you can watch the documentary through my YouTube channel. We'll get into how that came about as well.
Plus I got some great advice from an old friend and highly successful podcaster. That coupled with some much-needed closure surrounding the passing of my Uncle Eric helped lead to this return episode.
There is so much catching up we need to do!

Episode 102 is the special monthly bonus episode. It also acts as a de facto season finale, but not a series finale.
2023 is shaping up to be a tremendously busy year with three books being released during the first half of the year. I have decided to put the podcast on hiatus until the summer as I try to navigate these new projects. There are only so many hours in a day, in a week, and with so many projects on my plate, with more potentially to come, it is best to pause the podcast rather than try to produce a show of diminished quality.
This episode dives deeper into what contributed to this decision, what is on my plate for 2023, and my plans for the return of the podcast later in the year.
Continue to follow me through YouTube, IG, Twitter, and my blog as I will continue adding content, just content that doesn't have any set deadline.

Episode 101 fully kicks off the new year. We'll look at some intentions for 2023 and perhaps a little preview of coming attractions.
It begins with a look at The Dome Restaurant formerly of Woods Hole. Located inside an authentic geodesic dome this restaurant provides a direct link between Cape Cod and Walt Disney World thanks to the dome's creator R. Buckminster Fuller.
We go way Back In the Day to look at the Ounce of Prevention PSA short film. 80s kids will likely remember the shorter PSAs from this film that featured several beloved Looney Tunes characters warning about the dangers of getting burned inside the home.
There will be a brand new Top 5 as we gather up some of the weirdest music videos of all time. They are not necessarily all nightmare fuel(a few are), but they are no doubt different than the typical music videos. Watch them after at your own peril.
There will be a new This Week In History and Time Capsule as well.
The episode will be special and somber as well as I take a few moments to remember my Uncle Eric who passed away last week. He was an important person and leaves a large hole in the family. This episode was changed on the fly to make sure that there was a chance to reflect on his life.

The 100th Episode of the podcast is a special super-sized show.
This episode focuses on everything to do with the infamous Lady of the Dunes Cape Cod murder mystery.
We dive deep into the case itself, the documentary produced by Frank Durant, the forthcoming book I wrote, and the startling new revelation of the Lady of the Dunes being identified as Ruth Marie Terry.
This super-sized show is made up of a special four-part podcast mini-series that was due to be available exclusively on the upcoming website The Lady of the Dunes.com.
However as a thank you to everyone who has listened now through 100 episodes, it was decided to share these mini podcasts as one big show here.
Whether a true crime buff or simply someone looking to learn about this case for the first time, this special 100th episode will provide any listener with what they are looking for.

Episode 99 puts a bow on 2022.  It starts off with a little look back at some of what made the year unique.
Next, it's time to look forward to the dawning of a new year. This is done by reminiscing about an icon of Cape Cod nightlife. The Compass Lounge of South Yarmouth saw some wild nights, including ringing in several new years.
A quintessential New England town inside a big city, Manchester, New Hampshire is the largest city in the state and one of the largest in New England. Find out why it feels much cozier than a typical city on this week's Road Trip.
Countless movies have been transformed into video games with varying degrees of success. However, there are some movies that don't exactly seem to need a video game version. We're going way Back In the Day to look at a few of the strangest choices for movies to be adapted into video games. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, anyone?
As 2022 ends it's time to wring the last drops of holiday spirit out of the season. The latest Top 5 will include some favorite Christmas songs. Your list will almost assuredly be different.

Episode 98 is the monthly bonus episode.  The Christmas holiday is near, the season is in full swing. However, the bonus episode is leaving something far different under the tree.
This month we reminisce about lost and forgotten chain restaurants of yesteryear.  Yes, these all at one point in time existed on Cape Cod.  That being said it is possible for any and all people to look back at some of the restaurants named in this week's episode as some of them are only memories.
