Today's Interview is with Janine Laurent, a spa educator and somatologist.
Janine shares her passion for somatology, the study of the body, soul, and emotions, as well as her expertise in using aromatherapy to help clients find balance and healing.
Janine discusses her background growing up in Africa and how that connection to nature inspired her work. She describes the powerful emotional and physical transformations she has witnessed in her clients, from helping those with epilepsy to releasing deep-seated trauma.
The conversation delves into the importance of creating a safe, nurturing space for clients to explore their inner selves. Janine emphasizes that the process doesn't have to be intense - sometimes the greatest healing comes from simply being present and allowing oneself to be cared for.
Janine also shares insights on her journey as an entrepreneur, including the challenges of rejection and self-doubt, and how she has learned to keep moving forward. Her advice on the value of spending time alone and getting to know oneself is a powerful reminder.
Overall, this podcast offers a fascinating look into the world of somatology and the holistic approach Janine takes to helping people overcome obstacles and find greater balance in their lives. Listeners are sure to come away inspired and with a deeper appreciation for the mind-body connection.
