  • 'In The Bin' Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 13
In the Autumn Internationals, England defeated Australia in a tightly contested game, which was ultimately decided by Australia’s inability to take Care of England’s replacements. The Aussies fumed about the grief from O’Keefe, but really they should focus on their decision making and their Cheika’d disciplinary record.
Scotland were desperately close to a monumental upset win over NZ, but as usual the All Blacks came up with a 24 ‘Barrett’ gold moment when they needed it most.
Wales did their best impression of a reluctant woman in labour as they refused to push against Georgia, but manged to come out on top in a dull & controversial encounter & Ireland win again, but didn’t have it easy against Fiji,
In the big news of the week, Finn Russell says Au Revoir to Glasgow in the summer and looks likely to be playing in Paris next season.
The Aviva Premiership returned with more missing internationals than a diplomatic convoy to the Bermuda triangle, but threw up some great games with Worcester picking up their first win of the season, Wasps hammering Newcastle and Gloucester being Gloucester against Saracens.

  • 'In The Bin' Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 12
Slightly later than usual this week, as Andy had the cheek to go away to Amsterdam for a few days! He's cleared his head now and just like the Autumn Internationals, we are back with a bang!

    Big Story Roundup
In the news there is only one place to start and to everyone’s surprise, that apparently, is France! After a controversial process, the 2023 World Cup has now been confirmed as an Arc de Triomphe!

    Autumn Internationals Review
We’ll review last week's international action, where it was Roko to the rescue at a turgid Twickenham and Beale’s steal & wheels proved the difference in Cardiff.

Meanwhile in Dublin, the kit clash was the only competitive part of the game as Ireland dominated a sorry South Africa.

Scotland dazzled and dozed to an entertaining win over Samoa. Whilst it was deja vu for France with two defeats in four days against the All Blacks.

    In the Bin Regular features
Our weekly favourites for try of the week (an unexpected source this week). Hit of the week comes next & of course, our favourite chance to moan without consequence - bin juice.

    Predictions
Paddy sailed (this may or may not be a slight exaggeration) to prediction wins in both the international and Anglo-Welsh Cup games last week. Andy looks to bounce back this week and there are some very interesting calls!

  • 'In The Bin' Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 11
It's November, which can only mean one thing (well two things).... the Autumn Internationals are coming and 'In the Bin' is here to discuss!
    Big Story Roundup
It was a news week that started out slower than James Haskell understanding the laws at the breakdown, Piers Francis' development AND the Willie Le Roux hype train!
However, as we're good to you (and things picked up a bit) we've dug out a couple of bits to discuss. No bribes from Samoa were needed to make us do this!
England & Wales take the unorthodox step of a joint scrummage & lineout session. In joyous news, Irishwoman Joy Neville, will become the first woman to referee a professional European club game when she takes charge in Bordeaux on the 15th December.
    Pro 14 Review
Glasgow hosted a Leinster side who had beaten them comfortably in the Champions Cup already this season. But, that didn't Mata...walu one little bit as Glasgow romped to a bonus point win.
Elsewhere, Munster slayed the Dragons without mercy in Rassie Erasmus' last game at the helm & Ulster usurped the Kings in South Africa.
    Anglo-Welsh Cup
The opening round was all Anglo & no Welsh as the Pro 14 continued! The English sides gave us a treat as they channelled their inner Ba Bas and served up a points bonanza.
    Autumn Internationals Preview
We run through the schedule for each Northern Hemisphere team as they host the likes of New Zealand, Australia & South Africa. After some of the outrageously good performances at club level, we also hope for a feast for the eyes when Fiji take the field.
    In the Bin regular features
An absolute stunner for try of the week (and a contender for try of the season) and as usual, plenty of Bin Juice.
    Prediction Time
Andy took the spoils last week as Paddy went a bit crazy for the Italian sides, but he will look to bounce back with another round of Anglo-Welsh fixtures and the start of the Autumn Internationals.

  • 'In The Bin' Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 10
Another fantastic episode of 'In the Bin' for you this week. We return from our European tour to focus on domestic rugby in the UK & Ireland, as well as the start of the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
    Big Story Roundup
On this week's show, we chat about a potential Yarde sale at Quins & a Zebo looking for pastures new. (You have Andy to thank for that terrible Zebo pun!)
We will also discuss World Rugby's endorsement of the South African bid for the 2023 World Cup. A controversial call, despite the best efforts to give everyone 'transparency'.
Finally, we play head coach and debate the England, Ireland, Welsh & Scottish squads for the upcoming Autumn Internationals.
    Aviva Premiership
As the English sides returned home, Heinz means wins for Gloucester in a fierce derby against Bath. Worcester Lanced themselves in South London & it was Mayday again for Tigers at a sold out Kingston Park.
    Pro 14
Two big Irish derbies in the Pro 14, where Conway made way to allow Connacht to down Munster. The Ospreys took flight at last & it was McGrath at the double for Leinster.
    In the Bin regulars
We had another difficult choice for try of the week with some belting tries again.Hit of the week was bone shuddering and there was so much bin juice, it came out throughout the show!

  • ‘In The Bin’ Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 9
The continental editions of the ‘In the Bin’ rugby podcast keep on rolling in, as we complete the second week of Champions Cup rugby.
Your hosts Andy & Paddy reflect on a truly outstanding week of European rugby, with plenty of big performances to talk about.
    Big Story Roundup
There was much excitement about new teams challenging for the Champions Cup throne this season, particularly Glasgow & Scarlets. However, after two games is it the same old story? The Scottish & Italian teams, along with both Welsh regions, are still winless after round 2.
    Champions Cup Recap
The Champions Cup delivered one of the finest weekends of rugby this year in its second week.
Exeter travelled to Montpellier ‘fully Armand’ and dangerous, and managed to evade the wrath of LWOR favourite Nadolo, to snatch a magnificent win on the go. Fans might recall this win in years to come, for the result–but also, that lovely pink shirts.
Once again Leinster underlined their European credentials, as Healy scored freely & Sexton marshalled the Irish province to a crucial away win.
Elsewhere, Tigers roared to maximum points against Castres and despite not racing out of the traps, Munster secured a vital victory at Thomond Park.
    Third Bledisloe Cup Test
We also discuss events down under, where the Wallabies end the Bledisloe Cup annual series on a high note. Israel Folau inspired them to a long overdue win against New Zealand
    ‘In the Bin’ Regulars
An array of wonderful tries for us to choose from for ‘Try of the Week’. A monstrous collision is our unanimous pick for ‘Hit of the Week’.
Of course, we will also treat ourselves to a weekly rant in ‘Bin Juice’.

  • ‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 8
The ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod returns, with our European edition of the the pod as we welcome the Champions Cup back with open arms!
Your hosts Andy and Paddy get out the red wine and cheeseboard, ready in honour of the French teams — there were some cracking games for us to discuss.
    Big Story Roundup
Gatland’s law is no more! As Welsh rugby throw out the existing selection rules for the national team, like a burnt rarebit. Instead, it becomes ‘the Saga of rugby nations’ with only over 60’s allowed.
    Champions Cup Recap
A truly fantastic return for the 2017/18 Champions Cup, with exciting games all over the shop.
Northampton got de ja vu against Saracens, who seem hellbent on single-handedly ruining their season. Ulster and Leinster stormed to victories on the Emerald Isle although we still adore the enormous Nemani Nadolo (see main picture). He is a Monster! A Ryan Lamb led La Rochelle sent Quins to the slaughter, and Scarlets nearly left Toulon red faced
Enjoy ‘In the Bin’ regular features (plus the odd Joke)
As always, we will both give our Try of the Week, Hit of the Week and our favourite opportunity to rant… Bin Juice.
    Future Fixtures and Predictions
Andy and Paddy did pretty well in their predictions this past week, and will look to repeat the feat as they look forward to Round 2 of the Champions Cup next week.

  • ‘In The Bin’ Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 7
‘In the Bin’ is back with a bumper edition of the pod as we ruck our way through the domestic leagues, internationals & look ahead to the return of the Champions Cup!
    Big Story Roundup
It’s been a scintillating week of rugby from Cape Town to Exeter, but to kick things off this week, we will be taking 10 minutes out for an HIA to discuss the mounting injury crisis in the Aviva Premiership and whether there will be any players left for next week’s games.
    Premiership Review
In the Premiership’s weekend games, Jamie George gets hooked on tries as Sarries dismiss Wasps. Gloucester continue to ruin our predictions by giving the Saints hell and Exeter bring the Falcons back down to earth at Sandy Park.
Quins recover their home comforts and Sale away with the points. London Irish salvage a bonus point against Tigers & Wasps look a bit of a mess.
    Pro 14 Recap
The glut of bonus points in the Pro 14 dried up slightly, but the excitement didn’t as Glasgow bit back for the race of men by becoming the first team to win away at the Cheetahs in a barnstormer of a game. Leinster edged out Munster in the big derby game of the weekend and the Southern Kings continue to play like peasants as they are trounced by Benneton Treviso.
We round up the other Welsh & Irish derby games as well as glossing over a dour game in Edinburgh.
    Rugby Championship
In the southern hemisphere, NZ conclude their second, consecutive unbeaten Rugby Championship, but with a much closer than predicted victory over SA.
    Champions Cup
And finally Champions Cup rugby is back! We will preview the opening fixtures, including games between sides that finished 5th and 10th in their respective leagues last year. Makes sense given the name of the competition doesn’t it….?
    1 hr 22 min
  • ‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 6
Andy & Paddy are back with yet another blistering edition of the ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod. There’s the usual tasting menu of reviews, analysis, opinions and gripes as we work our way through last week’s egg chasing.
    Big Story Roundup
In the big news story of the week we talk Pollocks. Well, Allyson Pollock and her latest attempt to ban tackling in school rugby.
We then turn our attention to the final furlong of the 2023 rugby world bidding. Will it be Guinness, Champagne or Castle larger being toasted when the final decision is made?
    Premiership Review
Falcons soar to top spot before the Saints ascend above them. Tigers appear to have fully woken from their summer slumber by downing the Chiefs and Bath swat Wasps aside at the Ricoh.
And much more in our full roundup.
    Pro 14 Recap
Zebre charge past Ulster and Glasgow’s perfect start continues while the Cheetahs take a bite out of the Ospreys in South Africa.
    Rugby Championship
New Zealand continue to be a little bit good at rugby and clinch the title. South Africa and Australia can’t be separated (again), not even by a hairs breadth.
And as always we’ll bring you our tries of weeks, hits of the week and bin juice.

Eddie Jones sidesteps Jonathan Joseph and pulls the plug on Kyle Sinckler in his latest England squad announcement.
We talk about Sean O’Brien diving head first into post-Lions tour gossip, and turns over the Lions coaches.
    Premiership Review
Newcastle Falcons swooped into the Rec and took maximum points. Exeter started with 31 phases & finished with 31 points, to take the sting out of Wasps. At the Stoop, yellow card decisions stooped to a new low.
    Pro 14 Recap
Glasgow kissed Munster goodbye & proof that the world really has gone mad!! Italian ‘and’ South African sides win games! These are exciting times, to be sure.

  • ‘In the Bin’ Rugby Pod Season 1 Episode 4
This week on the ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod we get a bit carried away and discuss other things in addition to the Aviva Premiership. That’s right, actual other things.
As usual, there are more opinions flying around than there are rugby fans in the USA… and we both go on a bit of a rant.
    ‘In the Bin’ Part 1
We begin in familiar territory with a round up of last week’s Premiership games.
First up, in unfamiliar territory, someone thought it was a good idea for Newcastle to play Saracens in Philadelphia. More of a fumble than a touchdown.
Joe Marler goes fishing and James Haskelltakes the bait in a feisty encounter at the Ricoh. In honour of our show’s name, Haskell was told to go cool off ‘in the Bin’ (see main picture).
Northampton continue their comeback from opening weekend shambles to conquer Bath and Sam Underhill only stopped tackling this morning.
Leicester finally get off the mark against Gloucester, but still look far from convincing. Sale return to winning ways at home against Irish and shock of the week – Worcester lost to Exeter…
Try of the week, hit of the week and our new addition to the squad – Bin juice! (I always thought the smell was Andy)
    ‘In the Bin’ Part 2
New Zealand are far too good for South Africa in the Rugby Championship. Argentina’s next home games look a bit tasty and the general state of rugby in SA and Australia upsets us.
To round out the podcast, ‘In the Bin’ preview next weekend’s games in the 2017/18 Aviva Premiership and stick our necks out with our predictions.
