With his self-titled debut album, New Jersey-based country musician MOOT DAVIS delivered a set of timeless honky tonk that brought comparisons to Hank Williams Sr. The kudos continued for his second effort, Already Moved On, which about.com’s Kathy Coleman ranked as the Fourth Best Country Album of the Year, ahead of the likes of Dwight Yoakam & Brad Paisley. His latest albumMan About Town fulfills the promise of his earlier efforts while also expanding into new musical territory. Tracks like Day the World Shook My Hand,  How Long, and Only You should resonate with fans of his earlier, retro honky-tonk sound. Queensbury Rules, on the other hand, boasts a harder, rockier sound, while Rust mixes country twang with a funky beat. The ace players on Man About Town are from Marty Stuart’s band: guitarist Kenny Vaughan, who served as producer; pedal and lap steel player Chris Scruggs; drummer Harry Stinson and bassist Paul Martin. Also featured is fiddler Hank Singer, who plays with George Jones.

Adam Gregory’s latest project - called Different Places - has left him optimistic and genuinely excited about the future, he says. “Anybody who knows me knows that I’m a family guy first and foremost,” he says. “The music on this record reflects who I am and where I am in my life. It’s positive and refreshing.” By the time he was 21, Adam had released three critically acclaimed albums (The Way I’m Made, Workin’ On It and Adam Gregory), garnered four Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) award nominations and emerged as a Country star in Canada. Now 26 years old & living in Nashville, this Alberta-born talent is ready for his new music to make an impact at radio and with his fans.

Alberta Country group Hey Romeo took home the award for Group or Duo of the Year at The Canadian Country Music Awards in September 2011. “We are all just so shocked and excited by this amazing win and to have been in the same category alongside such talented artists was such an honour,” said Hey Romeo member Rob Shapiro. Rob, Stacie Roper, and Darren Gusnowsky, make for a genuine triple threat, when it comes to writing, singing, and playing. Their second album That’s What I Am is produced by Nashville songwriting ace Byron Hill. In January 2012, the group hosted the 1st Annual Alberta Country Music Association's Awards Show. Country artist SUZY BOGGUSS is no stranger to the top of the Country charts with songs like Hey Cinderella, Outbound Plane, Drive South & Someday Soon. She's also known for her Grammy-nominated duet with Lee Greenwood called Hopelessly Yours, her version of Take It To The Limit on an Eagles tribute album & her duet album with long-time friend and Country legend Chet Atkins. Recently, she released American Folk Songbook which features her take on folk classics like Red River Valley & Wayfaring Stranger. She was discovered by talent scouts from Capitol Nashville while singing at Dollywood. A tape of her music that she sold at the park got into the hands of a label executive and three weeks later she was signed to a record deal. Influenced by artists like Brad Paisley, John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, and Merle Haggard, North Bay Country artist CORY MARQUARDT made his debut onto the acoustic scene in early 2011. After spending time as a drummer in the bands Trio and Inflict, Cory found himself with more than beats to let loose on the world. These days focusing on songwriting and live performances, he has established himself as a well-liked and much admired Northern musician. Alberta Country artist KATIE MISSION discovered that she loved to sing Country music at age 6 after performing Grandpa Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days (the Judds' classic song) for her “Gido’s” 75th birthday. When she turned 15, she showcased her talents to the public by entering her first Country Vocal Spotlight competition. Her association with Global Country’s Rising Star program began a long and impressive winning streak , including back-to-back wins at the Country Vocal Spotlight and Talent Explosion. With her powerful and compelling vocals, she took home the 2005 North American Country Music Association’s International Female Entertainer and Vocalist of the Year. In January 2012, she was a nominee for Female Artist of the Year and Fan's Choice Artist of the Year at the first annual Alberta Country Music Awards. Her new album - produced by CCMA’s 2006 Producer of the Year Gil Grand and hit Nashville songwriter Anthony Smith - is about to be released. The debut single from the project is called Jumpin' Right In which Katie wrote with Patricia Conroy & Brad Stella of The Stellas.

DON GRAHAM is a Canadian singer/songwriter, tried and tested in the music industry, both as a performer and songwriter. In the mid-1970s, Don formed a trio called Country Fair that included guitarist Robbie MacNeill of Anne Murray and Singalong Jubilee fame. The band’s name was subsequently changed to Graham County and their first single, produced by Bill Hill (producer of April Wine’s debut album) was called Shelter In The Sky, penned by Don, and recorded at the legendary Andre Perry’s Studio. He followed up his early success with more singles and songwriting and then became involved in producing. Fast forward to 2012: Don is proud to release his new CD A Willing Heart, a collection of 11 songs that form a tapestry of his life; good, bad, painful and hopeful. Born in Brantford, Ontario and raised in Vanessa, Ontario, singer/songwriter CHELSEYis a small town girl with big city dreams. “I knew at 9 years old that I wanted to be a singer,” she reveals. “I took singing lessons and always loved music. I have been singing ever since I could talk.” Her influences from the Country world are Keith Urban, Rascall Flatts and Taylor Swift. This talented 16-year-old newcomer has recorded her debut CD - entitled I Am - in Nashville. “I try hard to juggle school, friends and my career," admits Chelsey. Country artist JANIE FRICKE began her career in music singing commercial jingles for Coca-Cola, Pizza Hut and Red Lobster. In 1976, she gained attention for singing a line in the Johnny Duncan song Stranger. That attention lead to a recording contract and a string of hits and awards. Her hits throughout the 1980s included He's A Heartache, She's Single Again and Don't Worry 'Bout Me Baby. Janie has now released an album called Country Side Of Blue Grass which features 13 of her songs re-inventeed bluegrass-style.
