EDDY TABONE SR. is one of Western New York's most dynamic and enduring entertainers; a drummer, lead vocalist, and bandleader whose passion for music has energized audiences for more than four decades.

Known for his magnetic stage presence, high-energy performances, and commitment to excellence, Eddy has become a cornerstone of the region's live-music community.

His journey began behind the drums, where his talent and charisma quickly earned him a reputation as both a gifted musician and a natural showman. As founder and front man of the powerhouse '80s show band Nerds Gone Wild, Eddy brought together nostalgia, humor, and musicianship to create one of the most popular entertainment acts in Western New York.

The band's lively costumes, crowd participation, and meticulous recreations of classic hits have made them a regional favorite, earning multiple honors including the 716 Music Awards for "Best Band" and recognition at the Buffalo Music Awards for outstanding live performance.

Eddy's earlier project, Route 66, became a dance-rock staple across local clubs and festivals, blending strong musicianship with audience engagement. Through his production company, Eddy T Entertainment, he has continued to mentor rising talent, book regional artists, and build memorable live experiences across Western New York and beyond.

His leadership has made him a go-to figure for event organizers and a trusted name in professional entertainment. Never one to stand still, Eddy recently expanded his musical vision as drummer and vocalist for The Yachtfathers, Western New York's premier yacht-rock tribute band. Performing the smooth soft-rock hits of the '70s and '80s—from Michael McDonald to Hall & Oates.

This group showcases yet another side of Eddy's versatility and deep appreciation for classic American pop music. With more than forty years on stage, Eddy Tabone Sr. continues to bring people together through the joy of live music.

JC Thompson: Veteran Country Rock Singer, Guitarist, & Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Inductee

For decades, JC Thompson has been a driving force in the Western New York music community, captivating audiences with a powerful blend of traditional country storytelling and classic rock energy. Growing up during the birth of rock and roll in the 1950s—surrounded by the sounds of Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, and classic country pioneers—Thompson developed a lifelong passion for guitar and vocal performance.

After returning from military service and spending his early years exploring folk and acoustic circuits alongside local staples at venues like the Fairways Lounge, Thompson transitioned fully into country music in the early 1980s. This pivot sparked the formation of the renowned JC Thompson Band, a powerhouse ensemble featuring rotating lineups of top-tier regional musicians.

Famed for his crowd-reading spontaneity, sharp stage presentation, and commitment to honoring the integrity of classic songwriting, Thompson and his band became a staple of the Western New York live music circuit. Their dynamic performances earned them coveted stages alongside national superstars including Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Daniels, and Diamond Rio, regular rotations on WYRK, and unforgettable shows at regional landmarks like Melody Fair.

In recognition of his enduring impact on the region's musical landscape, JC Thompson was officially inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 1995. Today, he continues to perform and collaborate with top-flight local musicians, keeping the spirit of authentic country rock alive across the 716.

Borderland Band Camp is a 4-day summer music program (August 24-27, 2026) for middle-school and high-school teens with a BIG goal—to share the stage with professional musicians for two live performances, culminating in a spot on the Homespun Stage at Borderland Music + Arts Festival.

There's nothing more tantalizing to a musician than a chance at a big stage—and the Homespun Stage at Borderland Music + Arts Festival is pretty dang big. This is a serious opportunity for young musicians to spread their wings.

Last year's Camp was a big success, and was capped off by a well-received set at the Borderland Festival before a large crowd. Our 'campers' really knocked it out of the park with their individual and collective performances.

This year, response to the Camp has been more than enthusiastic, with nearly double the number of students our team of professional musician mentors will be able to serve. Also, badly needed scholarship funds to deserving students were awarded through the Sportsmen's Americana Music Foundation.

Over the past decade, she has become a vibrant force in our local arts scene, collaborating with staples like the Buffalo Jazz Collective, the Historic Colored Musicians Club, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's Education Program.

Since 2016, vocalist and guitarist Zak Ward, drummer Jeff Schaller and bassist Brad Robbins have served as The Billievers, the first ever official house band of The Buffalo Bills.

For 10 seasons inside Highmark Stadium the band has entertained out in the sun, sleet, fog, frost, hail, snow, wind, and rain for diehard Bills fans as the gates open each week, along with every visiting fan base in the NFL.

Phil was first on the show back in March 2023, and if you heard that episode, you know his career in music spans decades—from fronting 70s Buffalo originals like Flash and Dylan & Brady, to spending nearly 30 years in Nashville writing, producing, and working with top-tier talent. He's back in Western New York, still deeply woven into our local music scene. Phil visited the Flamingo Lounge on August 17 to sit back down to share even more stories from his incredible journey.

BloodThirsty Vegans' style of music can only be categorized as "FUN!" It is built upon a foundation of Hip Hop, is geared toward getting people up and moving, and is lyrically charged with a deep consciousness, but beyond that it kind of defies description.

Stephen Sadoff is a bass player extraordinaire with "deep pockets." He plays with every inch of his body and soul. He's a much sought after band member, a popular "go to" guy for recording sessions, and is the guy who gets the call when a last-minute fill in is needed.

For over forty years Stephen has been the go to guy for recording sessions and live performances. He has done numerous radio and TV jingles and commercials. Steveco-produced X-Factor and American Idol contestant Caitlin Koch's debut CD.

Stephen played at the first University of Buffalo Blues Fest in 1969. He has played with countless artists and has lent his talents to numerous recordings, concerts and club gigs. He was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame in 2012.

Stephen has also shared the stage with Charlie Musselwhite, Bonnie Raitt, Bobby Jones, Gurf Morlix, John Allen and more.

The older brother of fellow Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Inductee Tony Galla, Armondo "Mondo" Galla is a talented rock 'n roll and R&B singer, musician, and recording artist in his own right, with a decades-long career both solo and as a member of his family group and other combos.

Born circa 1943 in Buffalo, the young Armondo sang and played guitar in The Galla Trio, which included brother Tony and sister Mary Jane.

The high point of their family performances was their appearance (with their mother) on TV's Ted Mack Amateur Hour in February, 1959 when Armondo was 16. Mr. Mack mispronounced their names as "Gallo."

In his early twenties, Armondo was a member of the Sherwin Trio, who cut at least two singles for Sahara Records, 1964's "Jack the Cat (writing credit to his Wife Roslyn)/Angels Watching Over Me," and the holiday release "Christmas Train/Born in Bethlehem." The 45s were produced at Micro Sound Studio by another Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Inductee, David Lucas.

In the late 60's Galla was a member of the all-original band Mondo Bizzaro, which also included Doug Morgano, Stan Szelest, Gary Mallaber, Ernie Corallo and Bruce Gordon. Mondo was also a featured singer in a series of R&B/Blues revues hosted by Morgano and Nick Veltri at the Tralf, and appeared with other bands well into the 2000s.
