Ransford James is a Music Producer, YouTuber, and Grad Student studying Political Science at Iowa State. He was born in New York and raised in the Bahamas. He first started producing when he was a kid and is now running his own business and managing multiple contracts. His portfolio ranges from music artists to news stations and even The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. In this clip, Ransford breaks down what a 360 deal is and why artists should avoid them.

Carlo Cruz is a portfolio engagement manager at Toyota AI Ventures, responsible for supporting startups and assisting with the development of programs that add value to the TAIV portfolio. Prior to joining Toyota AI Ventures, Carlo led the Future Factory team at Toyota Motor North America’s (TMNA) TILT Lab, an internal makerspace that identifies key strategic problems and evaluates emerging technologies in manufacturing.

He originally joined TMNA production engineering in 2012 as a paint shop engineer working across various manufacturing centers. Carlo’s responsibilities included construction project management and multiple collaborations with early-stage startups and large enterprises to advance the development of future factories. Carlo received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, where he was also a Darwin T. Turner diversity scholar.

Hezekiah Grayer is Doctoral Student in Applied and Computational Mathematics at Princeton University. He completed his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State and went straight into his PhD after completing his bachelors. He is now working on a nuclear energy project for his PhD and is working alongside multiple institutions across the world for his research. In this interview, Hezekiah walks us through his journey and how he got to where he is today.

Muhammad Shehata is an Architect for JLA Architects and received his degree from Iowa State University. He assists clients throughout the real estate development process – from project feasibility to building construction. Ahmad Shehata is a business development engineer for the IDEX Corporation. He has designed, manufactured, and in some cases negotiated deals for products that costed anywhere from $100k to over a $1 million. Furthermore, he has also done multiple cost savings projects that resulted in their company saving over $1 million. Ahmad had 5 internships during his time at Iowa State and now helps with IDEX's recruitment efforts to hire talent. In this interview, Ahmad gives advice on landing engineering roles and also walks through his journey as engineer. Siddig Siddig is a Venture Capital Investor at Mubadala. Prior to working at a Sovereign Wealth Fund he was an Investment Banker for the Royal Bank of Canada and was focused particularly on biotech startups. He is a first generation Sudanese immigrant and we grew up together in The Hilla. Siddig has been working in industry for a little over two years and went to school at the University of Iowa, where he studied Industrial Engineering and Finance. In this interview, Siddig explains what a career in investment banking entails and breaks down his career path. Also, he breaks down how he recently transitioned from investment banking to being a venture capitalist. Jermiah Anthony is a masters student studying Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and received his bachelors in History from Pepperdine. Jermiah has done work with anti-child slavery and youth social entrepreneurship. He worked with the UN and Noble Peace Prize Winner, Kailash Satyarthi, to fight child-slavery. In addition, he has aided in developing the United Nations’ curriculum for the global status of youth. Jermiah has also conducted research in Argentina and the US on youth social entrepreneurship.
