Ok, the title Engineer is kinda derivative. Dana Bolles is more than just an engineer, but I couldn't fit her full title on the line. Dana is a NASA headquarters External Infomation Technology Lead, Science Mission Directorate.
Dana has been at NASA for 29 years. She has worked at 3 NASA sites and is currently in DC working with Astrobiologists (yes, we explain what that is on the show).
Dana talks about her background, disability, and ability to get the work done. Make sure you check out this episode and learn more.

Ruby O'Lexy is a PhD candidate. In her own words: I study how cells communicate with each other. For all multicellular organisms, cell-cell communication is an essential process in coordinating development and interacting with the environment. More specifically, I study how cells in plant roots communicate with each other under agriculturally challenging conditions such as low nutrients or heavy metal contamination. The biggest gap between potential and achieved crop yield is because of bad soils, so this is a real problem in feeding our ever growing global population.
She believes it is important to understand that there are Latinas in STEM - she is one, and she encourages more to young girls to follow in her footsteps
