From age 40 to 44, things started to take shape in a very unique way.  I had been running my own business for about 3 years.   I was exploring different types of technology.   My wife started to work for me.   My firm was growing.  Things were moving in a different direction.  Yet, I, also, started making a whole different level of mistakes in my growth.

One of the most powerful lessons that I learned was my first time trying out a business venture.   Despite having a law degree, I made all KINDS of bone head decisions which resulted in me closing the doors on the business within the first year.   However, the experience ended up being on the best decisions I made.

There are many people who have never been to a homeless shelter.. These places are a vital resource to a large segment of our population. When I was a practicing attorney, I visited a client at a shelter and got a different perspective about the importance of these resources.

If the average male lives to the age 75 and the average female lives to the age of 76, ages 35 to 39 is the mid life portion of your life.   At this point in your life, you have been in the work force (along with an college, trade school, or specialized training) for, at least, 17 years.   At this point, at least for me, I started exploring my passions while also working in my profession.  I had a few life altering decisions during that time (i.e. buying a home, starting my own law firm) and it was truly an adventure.
