It’s a celestial double-header. The year’s last supermoon rises Thursday evening — and it just happens to coincide with one of the best meteor showers of the year.

As the Sturgeon supermoon fills the sky, so will the Perseid meteor shower, when thousands of visible meteors will streak across the night sky.
