Emissions from vehicles are the largest contributor of greenhouse gasses in the United States, and electric vehicles are a major player in cutting these emissions. There are ambitious goals in Illinois to put 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2030, so we learn more about these efforts and what needs to happen to make sure that people of color and low income residents, who are disproportionately affected by air pollution, have access to these vehicles.
