The police shooting of a 20-year-old Black man in Englewood on Sunday sparked a night of looting and violence in Chicago’s downtown area. Hundreds of people looted stores along Michigan Avenue and State Street before clashing with police. In the end, two people were shot, 13 officers were injured, and more than 100 people were arrested.
